CalArts Grad Stage: "Reach For the Stars!"

A fitting final project from my time at CalArts. In Fall of 2025, my peers, Bonnie Kim and Victoria Solorio and I came together to start designing our 2026 graduation stage. We aligned quickly that we wished the design to emulate something representative of the "unexplored wonders" we were about to be set off out of school to explore. This was the stimuli for us to start thinking of a space theme- specifically relating to stars...

Sketches
Sketches I made from our early discussions of a celestial "Trip to the Moon" inspired graduation stage. I associated the imagery of space and stars with the beauty of a harp's celestial sound, and began to incorporate similar iconography to one in these early designs.
